Two new European destinations out of Copenhagen

On Monday, 29 March, Air France will open a route out of Copenhagen to Lyon, the third-largest city in France. The French airline, which is the seventh largest operator at Copenhagen Airport, now has direct services from Copenhagen to Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon.

“Lyon has a good geographic location with quite a bit of industry in and around the city, and it represents a strong platform for an all-year route with skiing in the winter and city breaks in the summer. However, it is first and foremost a business service, for which we have high expectations, said Carsten Nørland, Copenhagen Airports.

The service to Lyon will have one daily frequency each way and will be operated by a CRJ200 aircraft seating 50 passengers.

New route to Montenegro
On 1 May, Montenegro Airlines, which previously operated a service from Copenhagen to Tivat, will return to Copenhagen Airport this time opening a service to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. Initially, there will be two weekly frequencies, Tuesdays and Saturdays. From 1 July, there will be three weekly frequencies, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Podgorica service will be operated by a Fokker 100 aircraft seating 106 passengers.
