Anadolujet has just opened two non-stop routes to Turkey. One is a full-year service with four weekly frequencies to Ankara, a destination so far only served during the summer months; the other destination is Istanbul, which will also be served all year, with three weekly frequencies.
”With the opening of Anadolujet's two new destinations, we can offer travellers more flight options to Turkey, and as the airline is a member of the Star Alliance, accessibility to the rest of Turkey has also been enhanced. The new services mark an improvement of the route offering, which will benefit Turks living in Denmark, tourists and business travellers, said Ole Wieth Christensen, Route Development Manager of Copenhagen Airports.
Due to its membership of the Star Alliance, Anadolujet offers passengers frequent flier miles as well as competitive transfer fares to passengers continuing on domestic flights. Anadolujet also stands out from other low-cost carriers in offering passengers a 30 kg free baggage allowance as well as free inflight meal services.
Unlike the existing services to Istanbul, Anadolujet uses the smaller Sabiha Gokcen Airport, which may be of major benefit to tourists and business travellers whose final destination is in that part of the city and who can therefore save a lot of travel time to and from the airport.
Departing from Copenhagen at around 2.40 a.m., the flights will arrive in Ankara and Istanbul around 7.00 a.m., allowing plenty of time for connections to other destinations in Turkey. The return flights leave Ankara and Istanbul shortly before midnight and arrive in Copenhagen around 2.00 a.m.
The four weekly flights to Ankara will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with return flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flights to Istanbul will leave Copenhagen on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, with return flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The airline will use 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats on the services.
