Southwest Airlines extends codeshare with ATA Airlines to Oakland and Houston

Hobby and Oakland. The Houston service April 2, 2006, will begin and will connect customers from different cities of ATA Southwest Airlines flights to New York City's La Guardia Airport. The Oakland service begins April 28, 2006, and will connect customers from various Southwest cities ATA flights to Hilo, Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii.

The South West and ATA Airlines codeshare agreement can passengers and their luggage on one of the two airports, Houston Hobby or Oakland, with one ticketing option through both airline. For example, a customer who wants to travel from New Orleans to New York's LaGuardia Airport now have the flexibility of the books of the connecting service by both carrier, with a change of planes in Houston. The flight from New Orleans to Houston on Southwest Airlines, and will then the client will connect to ATA Airlines service to Houston Hobby for the connecting flight to New York. Southwest Airlines code share service with ATA Airlines began in February 2005 by first offering connecting service in Chicago.
